When you are meeting your potential pet sitter for the first time, it is always a
good idea to have a list of questions or concerns to discuss with them. No one
wants to be hired if they do not understand the owner’s concerns or worries. As
a pet sitter, I appreciate hearing a little history about your pet so I can better
understand them. For example, if your pet is nervous and you know little tips
that help calm them, feel free to share those. If you have a favorite toy your pet
enjoys, be sure and leave that for the pet sitter when you go. The bottom line is
to make your pet feel comfortable with your chosen sitter so that when you
leave, there will be “joy in the land” after you go on your trip!
